here is my setup:
2008 bmw 335i coupe n54
had o2 sensor below thresh hold codes on my stock cats and replaced all 4 o2 sensors and still the same issue. bank 1 sensor 2.
occassionally i would get misfire cylinder 4 5 6 or one at a time but not always. i replaced injectors and had them coded at reeves bmw. spark plugs were 33k miles iridium ngk and new coils. still o2 sensor code so im like wtf at this point. i had gotten a second opinion on the car and my buddy said bad catalytic converter probably since my old engine had really bad hpfp failure or something and threw a rod. sure enough i took off the stock cats and they were toast. now using 1320 racing dps(btw this did fit and work good except a very minor ding i had to put in an area very tight on clearance.
now the car in auto non sport hard pulls triggers ses yet again. i installed the 90 degree o2 simulator and now get a whole new swath or codes
bank 1 sensor 2 lean out prob not getting any reading but once again cylinder 6 misfire.
i will switch the coil on cylinder 6 tomorrow to see what happens. ive learned a lot about this engine and all working on it myself but man is it a pita.. mechanic also said perhaps intercooler hose or something is leaking. with me not doing the engine swap it could be anything.. any ideas?
yes i have researched thd forums and i know a cobb jb4 etc can work to clear the codes too which i am getting soon as well as cp and bov.
i could do several pulls in sport mode and boy did it haul ass.. its not doing limp mode but sometimes when it triggers ses it runs crummy and rough at idle afterwards
