23 degrees today and the blower motor quit. I heard it stop, then I messed with all the settings and couldn't get more than a little chirping out of it. The chirping stopped after messing with it for a while. It had been chirping since I bought it.

So, I'll look at the fuses and relays, but I'm thinking I need a new motor. The local pick-a-part might have one for me.

Looks like replacement is not fun, but not impossible either.

Just went out to check fuses and the damn fan fired right up.
Does that point to the resistor as the problem?

ETA - after reading some old threads, it's probably the motor.

Yup, it's usually on it's way out when it works intermittently.

Good Timing with the weather too.

Check out the link below on the blower motor resistor replacement - it should be a helpful guide to addressing the issue that you're having. If you need additional info, feel free to post a Comment just below the article and someone will get back to you with more details. Best of luck!

Just re-read this. I meant to concur about it being the blower

Thanks guys. I'll dig more into it this weekend. That resistor looks a whole lot easier than the motor, but I'll probably end up doing both due to the chirping from the motor.

The motor isn't that bad to replace. Took me a few hours taking my time.
