I have a 2010 BMW 328i that I purchased new. It currently has 140,000 miles on it and I have never changed the coolant or manual tranny fluid.
When I bought the car, I was told that the tranny fluid did not need to be changed, but since then I have read otherwise.
The service dude told me not to change it recently as well. With this many miles, I am thinking I should ignore this guy and get it done.

I have had no tranny or clutch issues and all still runs just fine. Should I do a tranny flush and fill and a coolant flush and fill?

Thanks

Terminology is a bit off, definitely do not do a trans flush and fill. You might get away with doing a Trans drain and fill, and if I were you I would at least do all other fluids. Coolant, Front and Rear Differential, Power Steering, Brake Fluid. Truthfully as the transe fluid goes, you have a manual and I have never heard people having problems changing the fluid on that. If it was automatic, it would be a different story, I most likely would say no if that was the case. Just do a basic drain and fill and don't actually do a flusgh which could move gunk around into different areas, but since yours is manual you should be ok. Just search around for other answers to make sure if you want.

And flush brake fluid.

I agree not to power flush the transmission, but I suggest changing the transmission fluid via drain and refill, and ALL fluids and oils with correct BMW materials. It's not like you do this every other month, so although it won't be cheap, it's worth it.

It's pretty clear to all at this point that BMW's recommended service intervals for fluids are longer than reality dictates.

At 140k miles, I'd change anything that's liquid, assuming that it hasn't been done recently and check related components. Also check your hoses, drive belts and pulleys. Check for worn bearings and tensioning devices.
