Anyone have a good alternative to the standard interior seats on a 328i sedan? The standard vinyl front seats are as uncomfortable as all get out. My wife has trouble riding it in for more than a few hours. I thought about finding E90 leather sport seats but not sure of the comfort level. With all the sensors in the seats does a seat swap become an electronic nightmare, coding to chassis etc? Can heated sport seats be installed or is it an impossible task?
Has any guru out there used a good aftermarket seat in an E90? If so, what happens with all the seat airbag devices etc?
Thanks for any and all help!

The seats will swap over just fine. There is no issue with wiring it is plug and play. Comfort level is something only your wife can determine and in general sport seats are worse than standard seats for comfort. I am basing my experience on multiple BMWs including multiple M3s that only come with sport seats. Others might find the sport seats the best. I ordered my E93 with standard seats because the sports seats kill my thighs after a while driving.....

You do need to disconnect the battery and possibly reset the seat sensor too...

Thanks for the reply. These are vinyl seats and I'm wondering if the E90 leather seats are a different feel. My ''87 635 has aftermarket Corbeau seats in it and these are more comfortable for both my wife and myself. She can go 8 hrs in those seats without any issue.
Having had BMW's for the last 30 years, these are by far the worst riding of all.
Thanks again,

Tom,
I'm a big fan of the sport seats in my E92. Some of the best factory seats I've tried, and multi-adjustable.

Terry,
Thanks for the reply. Not sure about fitment into my E90 sedan but it's worth looking into at this point. I've clocked over 150K on my E90 without any major issues and it runs like a banshee while still getting 34mpg on long hauls.
Ill start hunting for at least one seat to try at this point.
Thanks again,
