Hello all,

I am new to this forum. A few days ago I was driving my 2007 328i and the low coolant (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/13/0/19/DealFrame/DealFrame.cmp?bm=764&BEFID=96477&acode=715&code=715&aon=&crawler_id=403747&dealId=aHXUdjUsPJTl2H9vdU69Fg%3D%3D&searchID=&url=http%3A%2F%2Fclickserve.dartsearch.net%2Flink% 2Fclick%3Flid%3D92700008257723012%26ds_s_kwgid%3D5 8700000733791159%26ds_s_inventory_feed_id%3D977000 00001662305%26ds_e_product_id%3D29997%26ci_custome r_id%3D1001277%26ci_cse_id%3D1004%26ci_feed_id%3D1 004329%26ds_e_product_merchant_id%3D8049%26ds_e_pr oduct_country%3DUS%26ds_e_product_language%3Den%26 ds_e_product_channel%3Donline%26ds_url_v%3D2%26ds_ dest_url%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.northerntool.com%2Fsho p%2Ftools%2FNTEChIntJump%253FstoreId%253D6970%2526 langId%253D-1%2526url%253D%25252Fshop%25252Ftools%25252Fproduc t_200590133_200590133%253Futm_source%25253DCSE%252 526utm_medium%25253DShopping.com%252526utm_campaig n%25253DFuel%25252520Transfer%25252520%2525252B%25 252520Lubrication%25252520%2525253E%25252520Fuel%2 5252520Caddies%252526utm_content%25253D29997%26sdc _id%3D%7Bsdc_id%7D&DealName=HMC%20Coolant%20Caddy%20-%2030-Gal.%20Capacity%2C%20Blue%2C%20Model%20GC-30B&MerchantID=403747&HasLink=yes&category=0&AR=-1&NG=1&GR=1&ND=1&PN=1&RR=-1&ST=&MN=msnFeed&FPT=SDCF&NDS=1&NMS=1&NDP=1&MRS=&PD=0&brnId=2455&lnkId=8070676&Issdt=170215052057&IsFtr=0&IsSmart=0&dlprc=539.99&SKU=29997) signal went on (yellow). I got it home fine and called my local BMW mechanic who told me to put distilled water in it and go grab some new coolant from BMW then fill the reservoir after that. Did that this morning. Tonight, I am leaving school and stop at the store to get something. I noticed a bit of smoke/steam coming from the front of the hood (near radiator) so I popped the hood and noticed some leaking from a hose going into the engine (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/13/0/19/DealFrame/DealFrame.cmp?bm=191&BEFID=93768&acode=162&code=162&aon=&crawler_id=525168&dealId=EMQaBnISARZbBM72gacLJA%3D%3D&searchID=&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ecstuning.com%2Fb-ecs-parts%2Fecs-performance-drivetrain-mount-kit%2F003245ecs0101kt%2F%3Futm_source%3DeBayCommer ce%26utm_medium%3Dcpc%26utm_campaign%3DUS.Shopping Feed&DealName=ECS%20Performance%20Drivetrain%20Mount%20 Kit%3A%20Includes%20ECS%20Performance%20Pendulum%2 0Mount%2C%20Engine%20Mount%20%26%20...&MerchantID=525168&HasLink=yes&category=0&AR=-1&NG=1&GR=1&ND=1&PN=1&RR=-1&ST=&MN=msnFeed&FPT=SDCF&NDS=1&NMS=1&NDP=1&MRS=&PD=0&brnId=2455&lnkId=8070676&Issdt=170215052057&IsFtr=0&IsSmart=0&dlprc=329.95&SKU=3010349). It looked minimal and the coolant signal hadn't come back up so I decided to drive it home (under 2 miles away). As I was driving the coolant signal went on again very briefly then went off. As I was pulling up to my house a few minutes later I heard a whining noise and saw more smoke coming from the hood. I immediately shut off the car and looked. Coolant sign also went off just before I noticed the whining. Looked under the hood and the entire hose was detached from the engine (I think this is what it is). I will post a few pictures. Just curious of what this could be. Going to have it towed to a new mechanic in the morning as I am living away from home for medical school at the moment.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank You.
