I'm working on putting a B35 harness into a 3.0CS. I have a later model harness with the 25 pin X20 connector. Schematics show the automatic transmission range switch supplying power to pin #10 on the X20 connector which goes to Pin #42 on the DME, when in park or neutral. There's no alternative schematic shown for manual cars, which should mean they don't require a jumper or anything in place of the switch. Do I need to apply power here for the engine to run? My starting circuit is just a direct push button, the DME doesn't have the ability to stop me cranking the engine, but will this prevent it starting?

Same question for pin #7 on the X20, which is the anti-theft circuit from the OBC. Schematics don't show if the OBC powers or grounds pin 7 though. Do I need to do either to make it run?

Pretty sure you don't need #10 on a manual.

For #7, the black/violet connects to pin 38 of the dme. I think if the dme sees a high signal (>10 volts) the dme may inhibit spark. I guess you can test that assumption.

Yeah, the problem is it's really hard to set it up for a test run without finishing my chassis wiring harness first. And then it's hard to correct errors. I'm pretty sure you're right on both accounts though. Will proceed without them.
