posted this over in mech help but now realize this may be a better place

Hi all!

Im currently in the market for an OEM level scan tool, having some issues finding any good info online was hoping some people on here can help. Im an automotive tech that has a pretty strong European background mostly on VW/Audi/Porsche but i have worked at afew indy shops that also service Mercedes and BMW/Mini. I have used ISTA/P-D and Autologic ect ect but am having hard time finding a good source on them forsale, besides flea-bay. Any and all advise that can be given would be greatly appreciated ! and perhaps maybe a vetted vendor list ?

-thanks!

For running a business:
Genuine ICOM (from any dealer, or dealer vendor) one example https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/icom-next-a/81312360883/

And a subscription to BMWs ISTA https://oss.bmw.de/index.jsp

Anyone else selling this is bootleg copy, and you are paying someone money for something they downloaded online for free.

Chinese clone icom works perfect for 25% of the buy in price of original... why waste the money. Recently had autologic people come to a shop I got a piece of and make an offer of 3k per car brand unlocked fully for either bmw, audi or porsche. That isn't a bad deal at all
