Hey guys I'm rebuilding my cluster and need a source for T5 LED bulbs and sockets. I see a lot of them on Amazone and eBay but the twist connectors don't have the correct contacts for the circuit board. They are usually on one side, the wrong side, instead of both sides like OEM.
Thanks for any pointers.

Try https://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/instrument-cluster-gauge/?view=standard
I havent done my E24 dash yet, but several years ago they had the LEDs for my Alfa's, which look to be the same.

I used superbrightleds during my dash rebuild in an attempt to switch to LEDs. I tried a bunch of different colors / brightnesses but overall the result was underwhelming. The color wasn't right and the lights were too directional. Also, a word of warning, the 74 LED Bulb type doesn't fit, its too thick. You can purchase a bunch of singles like I did and try them out, but its not worth it to return and ship back so you will have to take the hit of like $30 for testing them out. I ended up just going with the stock incandescent bulbs for all of them. I sourced them from autohausAZ.

For backlighting LEDs it might be better to use one of those flat, self-adhesive strips fastened inside the housing, rather than individual bulbs. I haven't pulled mine apart yet, so it's just a thought.
