I pulled a LTW spoiler off my M3, no risers, how do I know if it's OEM or a replica? And about what does a OEM vs replica go for price wise? I like the slick trunk look.

OEM will have a part number on it. It's not a LTW spoiler though, otherwise it would have a cutout for brake light. That's a GT spoiler, which the spoiler for the LTW models was made from.

About a year ago, a chipped and damaged OEM GT spoiler sold for around $800 here, so if that truly is OEM I imagine you could get quite a lot for yours since it looks to be in good shape.

Any idea where the part number would be? Entire spoiler is painted so I can't see anything. If I could get a location I can sand it down and see if anything is there. Thanks for clarifying about it being a GT spoiler, bit new to the BMW world.

Hmm I don't think I have that on mine, at least not as obvious as that. What do replicas go for? It doesn't feel cheap by any means, feels solid and had good weight to it. It mounts pretty well too on the edges of the trunk. Lines up nice

If it is the Italian made replica, which Abrahams Motorsport sells, maybe $300-$500? Is the paint in good shape? If the paint is in good shape, and you find a buyer with the same color car, maybe even more?

If it is a saggy ebay replica, it's not very valuable. Brand new those replicas are under $200.

How much does the wing weight? Fiberglass or polyurethane?

Haven't weighed it but it has some heft to it. I'll check when I get home.

if you flip it over you should see a part number stamped, unless you might have double tape covering it, also if you separate the two pieces you will see another part number stamp where they mount together, here is an example, some pictures i took when i bought my spoiler

The sticker placed here is not what he is after as they tend to go missing over the years and repaints. Having the recessed oval is definitely indicative though.

As Erk1 has shown, the part numbers are stamped on the bottom of the wing parts. This will answer your question.

Well I can't find a SN and I don't want to just start sanding things down. I attempted to take the spoiler apart but i partially stripped a screw so there goes that (don't feel like making it worse and drilling it out). Any other way I could tell if its OEM? Anything it would have that only OEM would have?

To be honest it feels OEM, very solid. Not like typical aftermarket cosmetic items. Then again I'm not an expert. If it was a replica, any guess on what it would go for?

Is the recessed oval present on the base as I mentioned? That picture Moron 95 posted shows the recessed oval clearly that the sticker sits in.

Odds are it isn't real though. Unless there is gobs of filler and paint underneath, you can still see the part numbers on a painted wing.

The base thickness is a dead giveaway.

The Lester/Abraham MS version is a pretty good OEM replica so it has the tapered base rather than the thicker version yours has, so it's more likely an eBay rep or similar.
