I just recently bought myself a 2007 BMW 335i coupe, standard. Before this purchase I was just rocking a 03' Ford Ranger. (Big jump, yes I know) I have a lot of questions if anyone would like to help me.. I'm a newbie at BMW's and cars. It would be greatly appreciated if you could offer some help.:eyecrazy:eyecrazy:eyecrazy

First and most important on BMWs when you buy them used, make sure the maintenance is all up to date. If the car came with records, that is a big help. Any work done at a BMW dealer is accessible by the dealer, but only for them to advise you. Most won't print it out for you.

I know that normally since it is the twin turbo 335i It does run on an average 8.8 lbs of boost. I was wondering how many lbs of boost the stock engine can handle safely, and efficiently for me to gain more HP. I was also wondering how much torque the stock transmission can handle..

Alright, I did check to make sure it was maintained, and everything. Nothing seems to be wrong with it. It purrs like a kitten. Usual maintenance, oil changes, tune ups etc, etc. are all fine.
