Thread for my fellow 330i'ers, mods, comments, observations, maintenance etc...
I'll start:
Current mods - M-front bumper; drilled/slotted rotors (both the previous owner installed), golf-T mod.
Planned mods - Brembo blank rotors and better pads (PFC's), 5mm milling of strut holes, TRMotorsport 18x9 wheels square, install my Schroth Rally 4 harnesses because race car (but actually because the ds seat belt doesn't lock, for auto-x, when pulled all the way out), z3 shift lever (ssk), K&N drop in filter, CDV removal, and front sway bar (for now)
Maintenance - 5w40 Rotella T6, fix left door tweeter and folding mirror (both are in-op right now), Motorcraft Full synthetic MT fluid, tires 255/35 or 265/40 square (but haven't decided which ones yet).
So far ZERO complaints, love it as a DD and autocross car. I purposely chose the 330 over the 335, because I plan to track it occasionally and autocross it regularly. I didn't want to have to worry about the cooling/limp mode issue, HPFP, and the turbos in general with the 335. What I gave up in power, I feel I gained in reliability and no option but to hone my skills. That said, I was only ~1 sec behind the guy that went to nationals when we co-drove my car at the last autocross (his 335i was out for HPFP/boost leak (10pts for the 330 [emoji41]!)), and he said he didn't think he would have been more than 0.5sec faster than that in his F-Stock 335i MT.
