Does the E36 have one? So far as i can tell from the ETM diagrams, the answer is no.

You are not going to read DME programing by the ETM, but the A/C compressor is turned off by the DME under WOT.

No, but I can look at the pin diagram and the charts. It shows only an input on the A/C relay pin.

I guess the S50B32 AC shutoff is not compatible with the '95, though. (Which is why swap cars a seem to throw a code for the A/C relay.)

Not sure I get what you are saying. The ETM shows the DME controlling the A/C compressor relay and it likely does turn it off at WOT.

My 1992 318i and 1998 M3 both turn the compressor off at WOT. The 318 also seems to incorporate an RPM or speed interlock of some sort because it won't drop the AC if floored on the highway.

New to me. Then again, I don't have tools to look into the DME maps and stuff.

WOT AC shutoff is interesting.

Here is the wiring diagram. The IHKA & IHKR send a request to the DME to turn on the A/C. On all ODB2 cars, once the DME sees WOT from the TPS, it will stop grounding the relay for the compressor.
