2011 335d codes - P0112 and P0101

I started getting an "engine Malfunction" - reduced power mode, then a "service engine soon" this week.

There are two codes - P0112 that calls for a Intake air Temperature and P0101 that calls for a mass volume air Flow circuit.

These are two different circuits, so I'm guessing it is only one.

I can clear it with my DRB. I can get to work, let it sit all day, then get home - all with no code. But is I start it after waiting only an hour or two, I get a code.

I just changed the air filter about 6 weeks ago. I wonder if the aftermarket filter is constricting the air flow? The one I have is a Mahle

Any ideas?

I have the same car with the exact same issue. Were you able to resolve the issue?

It needed a MAF. The dealer gave me a deal along with some other stuff. I think it is a possible DIY though. I'd stick with OEM parts for anything electrical. Good luck.
