Dealer cost of BMW extended warranties?

Does anyone have any data on the dealer cost of BMW extended warranties? What is the approximate markup to list price? Knowing this information will help when purchasing a new or used BMW.

Significant markup. Never buy the Warranty or Maintenance Plan extensions through a dealer. Purchase through BMWNA directly to avoid the price increase. Also buy the extensions as soon as you can, as they get more expensive for the same length of coverage the closer you get to the factory coverage expirations. If you buy new or CPO and know you want the extension, call BMWNA in NJ right away.
