strange beep.

Randomly, I get a strange "beep beep beep" coming from my dash. I have no idea where it comes from, whats causing it. Anyone else get this?

Is the noise always there, or only at certain times?

only at some random times. Just three beeps and I cant seem to make it do it again.

The OBC has memo feature that when set goes off at :59 minutes past the hour so you can catch the news. If in your clock display you have symbol like .))) it is turned on. I have also read in here in that if the outside temperature goes under 38 degrees it will alert you. Your sensor could be FUBAR.

squidd, the exact same thing happened to me last night and this morning! i cant figure it out, i know i didn't press my memo button, i found out about the memo thing the hard way as well. let me know if you find anything out about this beeping.

Is outside temp 38 degrees or colder? If so, it's beeping to warn of you icy roads etc etc

New to this forum, just bought a '93 325i. I previously owned a '00 323i and '94 840ci. But due to stupidity I got rid of them, only to buy this '93 4 years later and realize what these cars are all about!!! :)

Yes I heard the beep too, and I see the memo light lit up. What is the memo light for? And how do I check the memo?

I went over a large bump/pothole thing in the road in my loaner 325i and it made that beeping sound and I thought the car was gonna self destruct. It was really weird because the next time I was driving in that exact area, the beeping happened again. :D

well, i did some research, and the three beeps is definitely the memo thing, must of accidently pressed it? the temp. beep isn't the same three beeps, I believe it is only one beep.

The limit button will also make the "fasten seatbelts gong".

:lol yes, it does make that sound, however I haven't heard that in a while cause I set my limit to 200mph, its fun when passengers notice that. :evil2
