My sisters car (2006 325i) has a service engine light lit. I unhooked the battery to erase the code, and when it reset, my wife ran it by auto zone for codes. it had;

P0012 ?A? camshaft position over retarted
P0015 Exhaust Camshaft postion timing - over retarted
P1554 -
P015 Exhaust Camshaft position over retarted, etc

Surly both are not bad, so which do you think I should try to order and install first?

(NOTE: - I erased the codes and she took it twice and got identical print outs)

Thanks

Guess its a coin toss. The "intake" is listed first, but the exhaust is listed twice...

Get someone to scan the codes, like an indy, those auto zone scanners are not the most accurate with our bimmers.

It seems odd all sponsors are bad.

I replaced both cam sensors (one at the time) and the light would go out for about a day and come back on. Her sister was selling the car, so she knocked off $250 from the price and told them what we had replaced and they went ahead and bought the car.
Would have really liked to know what the issue was, for my knowledge and to post on here for any future searches.
