Just.like the title states, I ordered a dual in dual out catalytic converter for a 2 inch mid pipe I am fabricating for my SS rep headers.
When the cat arrived, I looked into the piping and saw that the dual feed goes into a single oval cat and then splits back into a dual exit. Essentially making this perform The same pressure equalization that an x pipe is used for. should I return this cat and get two single cats, or should I just use the single chamber cat as my "X pipe". Is there really that much to be gained by going single cats into a true X pipe? Or will this set up suffice as my x pipe?
