I have an 07 328xi. I am looking at getting 18" rims for the car but the rims I'm looking at are 18x8 and my rims now are 16x7. I want to keep the tire diameter the same as what I have now just on a bigger rim, will increasing width of the tire cause it to rub anywhere? I just want to make sure everything will fit without any problems. To be very specific the rims i am interested in are enkei onx. Sorry if this has been answered before this is my first post and I'm not very good at finding the answers to my questions on the site yet.

The fitment is all in the wheel offset and tire size choice
This should help

That was what i was worried about, i believe I have an offset of 36 now and the rim im looking at is 40 the site you suggested is saying it will be 17mm closer on the inside and extend 9mm more on the outside according to the difference in offset and tire size from what I have to what I want. That doesn't seem to marginally huge with a difference of only 1.7cm and .9cm. Thank you for the help. Would you happen to know of any way I could check to make sure it wouldn't rub or point me in the direction of maybe a similar post. Sorry but like I said I'm not use to the site yet

Guys, another question for you guys to answer. Thank You

If i have the stock 16 inch rim with the 205/55/16. I want to upgrade to the 17 or 18 inch rim. What do I need to change besides tire and wheel, do i have to mess with the suspension? anything? Thanks for the advice. thank you again.

You don't need to change anything to upgrade wheels and tires.
If you want a lower stance, you can look at lowering springs or coilovers.
Your previous post was asking about clearance issues. The easiest way to check this is if you have the car on a 4 post lift and can take some measurements from underneath. This way you know exactly how much space you have.

I have 19's and coilovers and my car is a bit aggressive.
I think 18's and a set of lowering springs would give you a nice look, more confident handling, and not compromise your ride comfort too much.
