What are the differences between a 95 325i and a 97 328i exhaust?

What are the differences between a 95 325i and a 97 328i exhaust?

On my stock '98 328i exhaust, there is a vaccuum activated "metal flap" inside the right tail-pipe. My guess is, this is to keep an increased amount of back-pressure under certain RPMs. I wish there was a way to incorporate that into an aftermarket exhaust.
And correct me if I'm wrong fellaz, isn't there a difference in connector-pipe diameter, between 95> OBDI and 96+ OBDII cars?

thats right it stays closed to give you more torque and opens up at higher rpms

So would getting an M3 exhaust on a 98' 328i be a good idea?

FYI - the downpipe/cat on the 325/'95 M3 is more restrictive then the '96-99 M3/328.

But a 328 muffler should bolt onto a 325?
