Traction control light comes on while driving. Car loses power

Strangely, this light comes on while driving. No particular pattern. Symbol has a triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Triangle is surrounded by a counterclockwise arrow circle(?). Any clues as to why? Thanks.

Traction control is linked with anti-lock brakes. Best candidate is a bad sensor at one of the wheels. Have someone read codes.

I have the OBD cable. What you need to read codes.
I am getting DBS,DSC and RFM alarms after an accident involving front driver side wheel.
It sounds like the sensor is faulty. How do I test it and how does it look like?
I used the software few years back to code the indicator blinks and the digital speed on dash.
But the lap top I had software installed is dead now.

Most shops with a competent scanner can get read outs from the wheel speed sensors. That would be an easy way to tell. There should still be BMW shadow codes stored for a faulty sensor.
