:help
I'm getting new 18'' ACS III 18x8.5 all the way around with an offset I think of 43mm. I currently have the stock m68 with staggered configuration. I think thats' 17x7.5 in front and 8.5 in back with an offset of 47 and 50 respectively. Please let me know if it's necessary to get an alignment along with my mounting and balancing of those tires. I know they are going to ask me to do it at the tire shop. I just wanted to know how crucial it really is and don't really want to get rip off. Thanks!

What bearing do new wheels have on an alignment? Your alignment settings don't change with wheels. So, no.

I think you should. You're putting a whole new size, offset, set-up in general and you should get your car alligned to your new wheels specifications. I'm not saying it's crucial to do it right then and there, but look to do so soon after installing the new wheels.

As SG M3 said the wheels don't change the allignment of the car one bit. You can go from 15" bottlecaps to 19" chrome bling bling wheels and the allignment won't change.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to a whole new size and offset. But some other ppl don't think that's necessary. I really don't want to spend anymore money than I have to. Does anyone have any negative experience not do an alignment after upgrading wheel size???
