A few times as I took off from waiting at a red light I noticed smoke coming from the tailpipes.... I remember having this problem I'm a different car and was told it could be from a little oil leak from valve cover..any advice? ?

What color smoke? Does it happen while the car is at normal operating temperature or cold?

Smoke, or condensation getting burned off from a cold exhaust?
Blue, lingering smoke = burning oil
Heavy white smoke = burning coolant
Light, whispy white smoke that disappears = normal

Yes it disappears after taking off from a red light, but if you are behind me, you will get a wiff of smoke, not thick not light.... as far as color, it's definitely white/blue.... midas (the mechanics shop) said my seals or gaskets might b going bad on valve

It is common for the V8 in your 750Li to do that, unfortunately.

As the engine warms up and the condensation dissipates the white exhaust smoke (steam) is no longer seen. If excessive white exhaust smoke is present well after the engine warms up, it is necessary to have the car inspected for possible internal coolant leaks.
