Hi Guys,

My significant other bought a `97 528i 5 speed a few months ago and has been loving the car. As I am the E39 guru of our relationship, I have been responsible for trouble shooting the issues that have come up.

In a recent touch-less car wash there was a leak and apparently the water was appearing near the base of the passenger side A Pillar and dripping onto the floor mat. We experienced a similar leak on the driver's side however it went away after we blew out the sunroof drains. The drains do not appear clogged and it has only been about 6 weeks since we blew them out.... Any ideas?

Thanks and it is nice to have my foot half in the E39 community again!

You used compressed air? Any chance the rubber tube slipped off the sunroof drains?

Good point! I will pop the A Pillar trim off and look. This was the second time through the touch less wash and there were no issues the first time.

Don't use compressed air. Take some weed eater line and fish it down through each drain. The weed eater line is firm enough to fish through with out being too rigid to do any damage.

Thanks! That is a great idea!

It is freezing here so once it warms up a bit we will investigate more. I'll post back with the findings.
