View Full Version : So Cal Alpina Lip Group order
kouks

Bout three years ago I organized a group order for Alpina Lips from Poland by carluvincriminals. It cost everyone about $95 per lip, verses about $140 with shipping if ordering individually. I'd like to see if there is any interest in doing this again. I destroyed my lip in a mishap and need another one.
If interested, post here and I'll contact the seller to set up an order. I think we need like 8-10 orders before its economical.
Payments will be via PayPal and I can arrange to drop off the lips in the Burbank area since I'm down there about once a week. You would have to be able to pick up the lip personally.
Shipping anywhere else in the US is not practical and will cost about as much s ordering direct from Poland anyway. Post your desires...Thanks guys.

I painted mine with PlastiDip before I installed it. Two small sheet metal screws on each side in the wheel well and it's on.
If you use actual paint, even bumper paint, I highly recommend you install first, then paint. Otherwise the paint will crack with all the twisting and bending while installing.

Have not talked to them yet, last time they wanted 8 orders for the $95 price. I'll contact and see what the price is for the three orders I have for now.
Update, I made an offer to the seller for three lips shipped to CA for $95 each, lets see if he accepts.
If anyone else wants in better speak up now before this thread dies.

Words from Poland:
For 3 lips, price $99.33 shipped, each
For 4 lips, price $94 shipped, each
At this point there are three orders, one more will bring the price down a bit and more will be even better.
I'll wait a couple days to see if there are any more takers, otherwise, Bimmerfreak and Hayne be ready to make a paypal payment soon. Thanks!

Noahabel just read your response, ok 4 lips for now, price is $94. If I follow their math for shipping, 5 orders will be close to $85.

Sounds good. How many weeks for shipping?
Are there any good threads on molding/mounting these particular lips? I know there have been a variety of fitments coming from Europe on these, some just right, some way off. I'm assuming you picked this vendor because they have delivered quality lips in the past.
Excited to get this molded and painted when I get my hood fixed.

Carlovincriminals are the go-to guys for the lip. It takes some gymnastics to get it on but I think that is deliberate to make sure it fits tight and does not come off at high speed. There are a couple threads on it but it's pretty brainless. If you want it molded in there are a few that have done that, but thats pro body shop work to me.
Shipping is about 2 weeks unless it gets hung up in customs, then who knows.
I am in Burbank about twice a week and we can set up a meet for pick up.

how does it work?

Ok, Baymax makes it 5
Did the math again and here is the pricing
3 orders = $99 each
4 = $94
5 = $91
6 = $88
7 = $85
At this point we have 5 at $91 each they can send 7 per package. After that the pricing starts all over gain. So I'll order 7 max.

So, like $80 for one lip plus $60 shipping, so you divide shipping coast to lip number?

Here's how I did it 3 yrs ago and how I'll do it this time.
1. Negotiate price with seller (done)
2. After total forum orders are confirmed, each person makes a payment to my PayPal account. I then add my payment and order from the seller. There is no profit on my part at all, price is cost only.
3.Wait for order to arrive
4. Arrange pick up location and time to deliver the lips.
Be honest and punctual with all information. There is no other way, plus you are in business anyway so you know what I mean.

How did they "remove" the logo? I was assuming a shop would fill, mold and sand the area. If that's what you had done, how is it holding up? I'm worried about road debris damaging that kind of work.
As for paying in DVDs, I do have a lot I could live without. Some of them aren't even x-rated!
