Greetings,

I have had a 1999 750il for some time now, but someone offered to sell me his 1998 750il. It needs work, he was unable to fix it much because of his work schedule. I have the opportunity now that I own it to start a project thread. It has 160k, a coolant leak, some electrical problems, suspension issues, and cosmetic problems. I paid a small amount of money for the car, so it needs work. I'll post progress of the car as I fix things and hopefully provide some good DIYs for you guys that might be facing some of these issues. 562204562205562206

Good luck and keep us posted.

Haha, I guess the photo upload thing thought I was in Australia with the upside down pics. I paid 1,500 for it, and it runs and drives.

Good price! I paid $1500 for my 1995 750il which ran and drove when I bought it.

I could see the pics no problem ... wish I could pick up a 750 iL for that sort of money, I wouldn't mind what it needed doing!

I picked up a 750il for $1500 that ran and drove, those kinds of deals are pretty easy to find nowadays.

I have fixed everything on the car, except a power steering leak, and the slow sun roof. She's turning out great, it was a fun project. I ran into an issue with a coolant leak that when I replaced the responsible hoses, the radiator developed a crack. It runs and stops like a champ. I got the idle smoothed out too by replacing the oil separation valves. There is a lot more I did, but I'm at a point where I want to sell it. I only need one 750il ;) So, I have it up for sale in the classifieds section, and will put up on Craigslist later. In probably asking too much for it, but I am in no rush to get rid of it. Its kinda cool having two V12 s in the driveway.
