Racelands are also $400 new. the shocks are too soft, but they don't ride that bad for dirt cheap coilovers.
oh for crying out loud. not this crap again, NO RACELANDS, NO CHEAP COILOVERS. Find h&r springs if you have to. I had racelands, they suck so bad. I'm on KW now. If you can't afford new suspension, find some in a partout, classifieds, ebay, or just save to get good suspension.
a 20 year old car that's STILL getting the coilover question... dude, seriously search. OP there's a suspension classifieds on this forum.

Did the shocks wear out ridiculously fast or the springs snap on you or something? I keep seeing people in the e36 forum hating on them but no one actually says why they hate them so much, other than "they suck." You can find good deals on slightly used parts, but I can't imaging stiff HR springs and a $200 set of shocks riding better than them for the price.

They became extremely bouncy in less than 1k miles. They started out fine, but they just became uncomfortable and really soft too fast. Body roll was terrible. I promptly sold them. I mean, I understand some people don't have 1500 dollars or more to spend on coilovers, and I never track or autocross my car or drift it... etc. Racelands were unbearable to drive in the street just around town. That's how bad they were. I saved up as much as I could and just got KW v1, although I wish I could have gotten v3 or Broadway static, or anything a little better. KW v1's are still just a bit soft for my taste. OP might as well save up just a bit more dough and get ST coilovers. Same as my KW.

I wasn't really referring to you, I was just talking to other people who suggest racelands in every single coilover thread. The topic of coilovers gets brought up every single day, and I know you were looking for some to buy, but people come here asking "what kind do I get" and then next answer is always "racelands, they're fine don't listen to the haters" and I hate that crap. lol

Fair enough! Everyone always suggests Racelands and even though ive never had a bad experience with them, i would not trust them on a drift car, i dont think they could handle the beating.
