Hi guys, this is my first post here.

I was on my way home from work for lunch this afternoon, and saw a beautiful deep-blue metallic 6-series coupe for sale at a reputable hi-end import lot. What really caught my eye was the $3950 selling price emblazoned on the windshield, so I whipped a U-turn and had a look-see.

This is a two-owner OKC car from new with 184k on the clock (explains the price). All (and I do mean ALL) service records from new are present, and the car had its last service at 182,400 miles. I took it for an initial spin; the tan leather interior is essentially immaculate with a couple very small flaws. The a/c has been converted and blows cold. All switches/gauges/electrical operate properly, and the car feels very tight with no squeaks or rattles. It also sports a set of old-school 15" gold-tone BBS basketweaves, which I may or may not leave on the car. The tires seem a little tired and there's a slight shimmy through the steering wheel at low speeds, but I was told the car sat unused for at least two years prior to the last service, so that might have something to do with it.

Needless to say, I let my emotions take control after I drove the car again after work, and after getting my wife's blessing I claimed the car. I pick it up first thing in the morning.

Now that I'm committed, a couple things... first off, the car seems to idle a bit rough, although I've heard from several people this is normal for this motor. It smooths very nicely under acceleration (this is an automatic car), however, and has plenty of power and shows no drips and no smoke. Also, I can detect a slight ticking noise that seems to be coming from the injectors at idle... anything to be concerned about? Anything else I should look out for right away?

Sorry this is so long, but I'm kinda excited. It's a beautiful car; I'll try to post pics sometime tomorrow. TIA-

Nice buy, sounds like it is in great shape. Both my sixers start to tick on the top end when the valves get a little loose, it is super easy to adjust them. Welcome to the club. Lets see it!

I picked it up at 8:30 this morning, in the rain, and drove it to work. I also snuck out for lunch and hit the expressway... I love it so far! I'll take pics this evening when I get home and post them.
