How hard is it? I'm pretty capable. I've installed my CAI, front/rear strut brace, and remove/installed an Idle Control Valve (which sits under the intake manifold. Required removing MAF, etc). Plan on doing RSMs my self soon.

Approx how long does it take for a DIYer to install the manifold, and are any 'special' tools needed, that I might not have? Or just the usual wrenches?

Thanks,
Parker

Good question as I'm in the market for one of them my self.

I don't remember the link, otherwise I would provide it, but if you do a search for M50 manifold, there are a couple of online DIY writeups for this mod that will come in very handy. No special tools, just some pvc elbows and tubing. I had purchased and subsequently sold the Eurosport adaptor kit. Eurospeed had a kit as well. If I keep my car, I'll be performing the DIY version due to the fact that the kits run from $350 to $500 and the DIY is usually less than $200. Good luck!

Here is one write-up: http://www.midnightautoworks.com/Installs/95intake/install.html

and another: http://www.team-bar.com/main.htm

Hope that helps!

So is it better to get all the parts your self and make them work or just buy the kit.

One thing I will say is that if I had to do it again, I'd probably just buy an install kit from Eurospeed for $200. It's not that much more money, but it would have made life a lot easier. I, however, like doing things myself, and did.

Does that include the manifold?

No, it's just the install kit.

I think it took me about 4 hours. Its not real hard, it just takes some time.

eurosport kit is more expensive, but its much easier, and i think nicer, installing it was quite annoying and tedious, a lot of blind work, and hard to reach things to do... i have the eurosport manifold kit and love it.. good luck.

brett.

The Eurosport kit is by far the best out there. They have the little machined aluminum block that eliminates the need to make hoses and connection and all of that crap.
