Blackknight, auaq, and I will be in town for my 3rd and hopefully final dyno tuning session at the famous TTFS. Frank has been busting his butt trying to figure out how to properly tune the M62TU with SC and he has finally nailed it. I'm hoping to arrive at his shop around 2-3pm on Saturday, maybe earlier, and then after that hoping to meet up with some locals for dinner and car chat.
auaq plans to go home that night but blackknight and I will be in the area til Monday or Tuesday so if anyone wants to hang out the following day or two also, let me know.

Maybe Redshift and I can even do a few pulls. I'll bring my GoPro.
Oh and I'll be sure to mount the GoPro on my trunk facing behind me to ensure you get in the video.

Big talk there fella
Yep, I'm planning to come along and attend the dyno, meet up with any of you guys around, chat, eat, and then head straight back home. Unfortunately, I can't stay with these fellas till Monday or Tuesday since my exams are coming up close in mid December. So, if anybody who's free on December 5th and around in the area, I look forward to meet you guys and check out your ride too. :)

Chadles!?!? Dude. How are you? Been thinking about you lately and wondering how you are. Thanks for asking! Im great man! Seriously I took a couple months off work and just golfed, dated, hung with friends, traveled, the works! I've been back as a sales manager at a new lot since the 11th (depleted my funds) and got a new place and am as happy as I've ever been. After the breakup I had to get my cajones back and find myself again. Been in the gym everyday and I have no complaints. I'll be around more now that things have settled a bit. How about you?!? How's everyone doing?
Happy Thanksgiving too btw!

Great to hear from you and even greater that things are going well for you. Very nice to hear. I was worried for a bit.
Things are fine here. Laid off in Sept - found out 3 days before end of 2.5 week road trip with family on vacation. Real nice. No notice, no nothing. So, been unemployed and am still. Good time to wrench I guess!

Woah! Chads back!
Brian- is your tuning session at Franks going to be finished on Saturday late afternoon/evening, or is is going to run into Monday and Tuesday? Just curious as I'd like to come down and see how it runs after the tune is all done. I'm shooting to come down Saturday and meet up with everyone regardless and just curious if the car will be all tuned and ready late Saturday. Are you going 42#ers like mcmnnms, or is it a game day decision?
I have to pull some strings to make it down, but looking decent at this point. Be great to meet up with you, Auaq, and some of the other E39ers.
Been told that's the plan for Saturday if I can finally get my alignment done this week and comfortably drive the car. If not, then not sure what I'm going to do. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Dammit...why do I have to be out of town this weekend?! I would SO be down to meet up, but will be up in NYC this weekend for a close friends' 40th B-day. Can't skip it. :(
Redshift...what area you guys gonna be staying in? Closer to Frank's place? I'll be back in the Baltimore area on Sunday night so maybe I can meet-up with you guys on Monday or Tuesday...

I haven't been able to find any concrete numbers on that either but would be interested to know. I am supposedly picking up a 4" Dinan CF CAI tomorrow from someone locally and then plan to up size to a 4" MAF housing a do a full 4" intake all the way. I already have the early big bore intake manifold and have been eyeing a Dinan TB on Craigslist for a while but it is still listed too high IMO. I am really trying to limit my budget on power mods with the e38 as it was suppose to be my cheap DD at school....Its not like the M62TUs have a whole lot left on the table without forced induction anyway and I still need a LSD hahah.

Pull whatever strings you have to, Chris. We gonna partay!
Frank said he'd have it done quickly but also offered to let me take his F10 M5 out if we wanted to go somewhere while he's working on it. I'm afraid to do that or I'll get used to 700hp and want to trade! But hopefully it should be ready late Saturday. You'd want to show up when we do, at least, to get some of that amazing crack chicken.

Alvin, I know, that's a major bummer because our crew is fun to hang with. I'm sure you'd be a great addition. We'll do it again sometime or you can just make a trip down to visit us sometime also.
I just had my 40th so good for you for attending your friend's party. :) Have fun. My family will be in NYC as well.
Yes, I do, but can't take that on this trip. There's got to be at least one drivable car at home. Hopefully, I'll have some good news this Thursday, so wish me luck.

Only a track instructor with a proven and great level of responsibility is permitted to drive it. Seems unlikely we'll even leave the joint and we might have to do injectors and FPR.
Which means me, myself, and I. :evil2:

You do seem to have a knack for pulling it out when the odds are against you. I've been impressed with some of your finish line moves on this car.
Yep, he texted me last night about it. I told him that I'll pick you up if the tow truck doesn't show up or if it's getting too late. It was raining cold yesterday and B was stranded to side of the road for hours, but glad he got home safely when the truck arrived.

My money's on the F10. Would be cool if there was a nice place to see who pulling who now that you guys are finally running solid.
Would love to see torque number too on that F10.

I'm sure it's monster. Did Frank mod it?
Oh, and what's with mcmmns blowing all this trash and smoke with his newly found power? Yet to any numbers or even a video. Is the belt still slipping and redline still only 6400? Move over.
Slightly off topic regarding F10 but assume the torque to be somewhat similar or thereabouts ...

Yeah, will likely be a crazy weekend...A bunch of forty-somethings hitting NYC, trying to re-live older times. Heh. Unfortunately, I "celebrated" my 40th 2 years ago while we were still in Manila, away from all of our friends, etc. so no crazy partying, debauchery, etc. for me. Time to make up for it. Hah.
What you guys planning on doing Monday/Tuesday? Can try to meet you guys on one of those days, but I probably can't take the Touring. The wifey will need it to take care of the kids, so I'll probably have to bring the E36...
