I'm looking to go to a square setup. I'd then sell my 18x8 fronts. Anyone know of good places to turn to find some? I'm coming up empty so far.

Thoughts, everyone?

eBay or local junkyards. E39 fitment is extremely hard to Come by.

Indeed it is! I considered buying e38 Mpars and boring them out, but they're 9.5" wide versus the e39's 9", so not a perfect square setup.

Why not go for a 9.5" square setup?

I suppose I could, but then I'd have to buy and bore all four wheels, which will initially cost me more. I haven't observed that the e38 Mpars are any less expensive than the e39 ones, either.

Of course, I'd then sell the others. But still, this seems less ideal than finding two more rear e39 Mpars.

Do you have a good source for the e38 Mpars?

And if any of you guys have wheels or other parts to sell to anyone looking for things please do it thru PM's or in the classified section, not thru a post on this forum.
Good luck Peter.

Sorry, Jim. My intent regarding this wheel discussion wasn't to advertise. It's about finding good sources, and also about understanding whether, if I can't find two more e39 rear Mpars, whether there's benefit to buying and boring four rear e38 Mpars. Also, as a side note, I have had a hard time figuring out how to use Panjo.

In any event, I'll be sure not to ask questions here in the forum that are best suited for posting in the classifieds...

I personally hate the Panjo system. But forum rules are
Forum rules. I have my M-Pars listed for sale but am not completely sure that I want to sell them. I fear that If I end up wanting to get another set I'll have the same issue you're having here.

Peter, not a problem just looking for things and asking. I just wanted others to reply via a PM and not post it here.
I don't make the rules, but would have to delete those posts.

I have a bunch of parts to sell but have refrained from listing them on Panjo too. I have a few on CL, haven't got any response.

Yep, totally understand, Jim!

BTW, I didn't think it would be any MORE possible for me to be envious of your car, but then you go out and get your DINAN flash. Sheesh!

And then maybe some Supersprint headers too if someone would get the Group Buy rolling.

I think that GB is for the V8 headers apparently and not for the I6.

I got tired of looking so I bought a pair of fronts new at the end of last winter and plan to buy a pair of new rears at the end of this winter.

Well, after hours of scouring the Internet and calling many parts yards, I've come up empty. If I were willing to pay $300+ per wheel, I might have some options, but that's not in my budget. So it looks like I'll just stay with my staggered setup; I'll address converting to square sometime later.

Drat.

Personally, I kind of like the staggered look.

I prefer staggered as well. I don't mind living with not being able to rotate. Staggered just looks better. To me anyway.
