2008 58 330d M Sport Coupe Bad fuel consumption

Last week I replaced my 2004 e46 320d 150 BHP with a 2008 e92 330d Msport. My average fuel consumption has dropped from 35 mpg to 22 mpg
What could be wrong?

Now more importantly - are you having more fun? You are now at 250ish right? But yes I agree, I get 19-20 in my RS4, 23-25 in my n52, and with a diesel you should be nowhere near that. Are the diesel cars running o'2 sensors?
