Hello all. This is my first BMW previously I've owned a 15 Subaru WRX, 13 Scion Frs, 13 Scion Tc2 Turbo, 07 Scion Tc so I've been around tuner cars for a minute I got tired of the 4 Cylinder cars and wanted to give luxury a little try.

08 BMW 335i (Sedan)
76k Miles
Auto Trans W/ Paddles
I'm not sure what all came standard on this car but It has Dark Brown interior, Xenon auto leveling lights, push to start, keyless entry

3rd owner

I plan to do a full paint correction replace my front grills open up the headlights to remove moisture and upgrade lighting if possible also going to either replace fogs or open them up to remove condensation then I'm going to temporarily plasti-dip my wheels bronze then start saving to put the car on air. After air comes an aggressive wheel setup. So far that's all I have planned may look into Dinan performance.

Also I forgot to mention I installed LED replacement bulbs in the fogs now I have an Error message I'm assuming I can fix with a resistor? I also am looking into replacing the Angel Eyes as my drivers side one is very dim and I want them to be much brighter.

Don't go Dinan, so many better options out there for 1/2 the cost. The only reason to use Dinan is if you want to tune within the OEM 4-year/50k miles warranty. Look at Cobb, MHD, JB4 for tuning options.

Completely agree with this.

I have a 4yr 50k warranty on my car currently from the date of purchase thus the reason I'm looking at dinan. However that will be the last thing on my to do list so we will have to see how much of that warranty is left before I make a decision. Currently I'm focusing on trying to fix my drivers side condensation issue and correcting all the paint.

Someone correct me, but I doubt you will be able to open the headlamp easily. I think you might be better off looking for the crack or the hole that causes it to fog like that.

I found a step by step on how to open the housings I've done retrofits on all my previous vehicles so I figured I'd give it a try before shelling put the $600 for a used one off ebay.

There is absolutely no harm in trying. After all, the headlight looks pretty messed up to me. I was just thinking about all the baking and hard work you have to do to get it opened. Congrats by the way, very nice car, I have always wanted one :)

It's no big deal just a half day job lol from what I understand just jack up the front pull inside of the fender well pull the bumper and the light basically pops right out that's a 30 minute process. Not to mention while I'm in there I can upgrade the angel eyes wish me luck! I'm surprised this hasn't been done more.

Dinan won't cover that, just so you know. They only cover the BMW new car warranty, they don't even cover BMW CPO. I'm assuming yours is through a third party since it is an '08. Make sure you read up on what their warranty covers and doesn't cover if you are going to spend that kind of money. Just want to make sure you are aware, because there can be confusion on Dinan's warranty. I'm not saying Dinan isn't good, just that there are many better options out there that are much, much cheaper.

I agree with what a lot of you people are saying about Dinan- yes it is a little costly. The reason being is that they put a lot of time and effort into making the best and safest products on the market. Why do you think they have a warranty that coincides with BMW's factory warranty? Because they have an amazing track record with aftermarket BMW tuning. There isn't any other aftermarket company out there that even offers a warranty, let alone maintaining the factory warranty. And because your car is a 2008, Dinan offers a 2 year, unlimited mile warranty on failed parts as a result of their products. If you look at the horsepower and torque curves from the factory tune vs Dinan's tune, you'll notice that Dinan does an even better job than BMW does at smoothing out the tune.

It is only failed Dinan parts, they won't replace anything else if is outside the OEM new car warranty. Please read the Dinan warranty I posted earlier:

CARS NO LONGER COVERED BY THE ORIGINAL VEHICLE MANUFACTURER’S NEW CAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Dinan® Performance Products are warranted for a 2-year, unlimited mileage period from the date of original purchase. Dinan’s warranties are transferable when ownership of the vehicle into which the Dinan products were originally installed is sold.
To obtain service under this warranty, the vehicle or Dinan® product must be brought, upon discovery of a malfunction or defect in materials and/or workmanship, to any Authorized Dinan Dealer during normal business hours. In the event of a warranty claim, Dinan will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any defective Dinan component upon receipt of the item and proof of the original purchase in the form of a lawful invoice. This warranty does not include reimbursement for repairs to any original vehicle manufacturer’s component(s) that may have been affected by a Dinan component. Labor charges associated with the repair or replacement of a Dinan product will be reimbursed at the Authorized Dinan Dealer’s standard hourly rate, based upon the original vehicle manufacturer’s and/or Dinan’s schedule of flat rate labor times. The defective component must be returned to Dinan for verification of the defect before any warranty adjustment will be made. A reasonable period of time must be allowed for warranty replacement, shipping and/or repairs to be completed after the vehicle or product is received by an Authorized Dinan Dealer or Dinan’s facility.
