I purchased a 2012 BMW 328i this past Friday. On Saturday night, I hit a small animal (possum, I think) going about 75 mph. I believe it hit my front left spoiler and then my left tire. It knocked out my left front fog light, but did not break it (it still works, but had to be put back in). On Sunday morning, I got the infamous "chassis stabilization" warning light that everyone seems to get with the 2012 model. But now, I just got a "transmission overheating" warning light and the "check engine" light is on and is staying on. As well, the tachometer "jumps" from about 1500-2000, up to about 7,000 in kind of a bouncing motion. The engine is not running 7,000 rpms, only the tachometer gauge bounces, not the engine. Where the heck do I start? (No, there is no warranty, expressed or implied...)
