Hi all,

I have an 09 335i Sedan that I love, built it in my garage last winter after I bought it wrecked. It's been a fun project customizing it to make it mine. Most recently, I've upgraded the stereo with a Parrot Asteroid Smart (Android Double Din Navigation Unit). I initially used a crappy heated seat relocation set, but wasn't happy about losing the front cubby. More importantly, it just didn't look quality. I was told the newer climate controls from 10+ would fit plug and play, so I bought one off eBay. The newer climate control has the "all" function instead of "rest". Honestly, I like the all function, but really don't care that much about those. The reason I wanted to upgrade was to get integrated heated seat buttons.

I installed it a week ago, thought it went perfectly. Heated seats work great on the new unit, and it's a nice clean install...then we had an 80+ degree day and I found then unit won't blow cold air. It is either warm (when set to cold), or hot (when set to hot).

I'd love some advice from anyone that's been in this situation. I know of at least 2 people that had this done and claimed everything was functional. I'd really love to get this working, but obviously want AC as well. Please HELP!

Joshua

Hi Joshua,

I'm planning on doing similar upgrade. Have you got any follow up on this issue with climate control?

Cheers
