hey so I'm looking for taylor marshals build thread on his U.S. to world bumper conversion. i really only need to know how to do the rear. If any one has any other good sources for info on this it would be greatly appreciated. like could i get away with tucking the rear bumper then just replacing my black side bumperrets with the world series one and the top strip of rubber with the world series coloured bit? sourced a most of the parts i think i need but if you have good sets of rear bumper pieces for the late world series bumper I'm interested:)!
thanks

To have the world side cover line up you have to use the world shocks.
When you do that, the us bumper will not fit to the rear bodywork.
There are reliefs in the world bumper to clear the edge of the quarters.

Nice thread. So after you got the paint off the bumpers what finish did you apply to keep the metal shiny?

Nada. Honestly didn't even think about doing so. Maybe I should have but they still look great.

thanks for the reply! getting my body and paint done this winter. I'm going to use i euro front bumper with a zender valence i was able to find. my rear rubber is kinda wavy and i think after the body is done it will bug me that they dont look nice. So my options are to either source some good ones or new ($$). I'm having a small amount of trouble finding the bumper cover pieces. if anyone has a good set available or knows where to point me any help sourcing parts would be much appreciated! thanks

Anyone ever use powdercoat? It works great on wheels, brake calipers, engine parts, etc. and is surely more durable than just about any painted surface. For bumpers one could use a metallic silver, or even a chrome silver like I had applied to my strut bar and oil cap (not sure yet if I'm going to use the oil cap).
