Looks like roughly 23% of respondents so far may be younger than their cars.
And 36+ is the new Seniors Division, eh? Why do I feel like I've stumbled into a remake of Logan's Run?

It was just curiosity on my part to see what the age grouping is, to get a feel for the maturity level. You'll have to forgive me for that but I'm also living in the e36 world which is very different as far as maturity goes.
Edit - Yes, I have also seen my fair share of these posts as well..

Well, it is quite possible that my grandfather put one in to "keep it real," like the old Fords he used to drive, so I'm not sure it was factory. He was long past being able to drive when he bought the '88 truck, just to sit in in the front yard drinking beer while talking on the CB radio and listening to Jerry Clower tapes all day, lol. We got it without about 28k miles when he died, and I think it had 33k when we gave it to a cousin about 10 years later. I'm pretty sure he destroyed it shortly thereafter...
Ultimately, the REDACTED function would go to the REDACTED when a model went from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive (which happened a lot in the late 1970s and early 1980s) because the foot-well area became smaller and more cramped with FWD causing the real estate for mounting an easily-accessible floor-mounted XXXXXXXX REDACTED to become non-existent...
I think it was last offered in 91 on the ford E series...

MKI Minis had the switch on the floor. MKIIs (which IIRC came in in 1967) had it on the stalk. Pretty sure they didn't change the floor pan or convert to/from FWD :-)

No idea why we kept the bells so long. Maybe it was so people wouldn't go running for an air raid shelter every time a Police car went past

In all seriousness, I'd put money down that the police siren predates the air raid siren by a decade.

European cars first moved the REDACTED to the REDACTED area... the US mfg's followed suit because as we all know, European cars are better. Unless its a Volkswagen, those are just dirty. LOL.

It may well do but they were not used here. While air raid sirens were of course used in WWII, we were still using bells on Police cars in the late 40s and 50s. A few examples are in the link below. The thing that looks like a siren on some cars is actually the PA speaker.

That's the starter lever from a Fiat 500. You pull it up to crank the engine.

The second one should be easy for everyone here.

Power sliding rear seats in the E32 have two switches. This is from an E34, although I believe there were also E32 with only the power headrest option.
When you buckle the seat belt the headrest goes up automatically. Pretty cool, especially for such an old car.
I had the oportunity to see an M5 3.8 E34 equipped with this rare option. Let me show you:

No problem.
They do mention it on the standard 5 Series owner's handbook, but I guess mainly the M5s have it as you say (and just a few of them).
This particular example is pretty loaded as can be seen from the picture: full leather interior (including centre console and door cards), rear electric sunshade, rear heated seats, lateral sunshades. etc. Very unusual stuff.
