I started with these lousy H&R springs

I purchased a 99 540i 6spd for a song and harvested the 4.4 and 6spd. The car also had these upgrade springs, I needed a way to get the car to the crusher on a trailer, so I decided wood on the corners was the cheapest way to go! Off to ebay to unload the springs. To bad they don't fit my 94 540.

just weld the strut at desired ride height.
Rotate wheel while jacked up till a lug nut is pointing straight up.
Drop back down measure from lug to fender.
Jack back up take wheel off.
Use bottle jack to jack up lower control arm until desired lug to fender measurement is made.
Weld.
TADA you have a go-cart feeling, static stanced car.
I did this on my buddys sentra when he wanted it slammed and only wanted to pay 50 bucks until he could buy lowering springs. His struts were shot so he was gonna buy new ones anyways. Lasted 2 months until I had to reweld one strut.
Why not part the car out and take extra stuff off of it eg anything interior (seats, trim, headliner, dash, cluster, ect, trunk, Hood, All the Glass, the trunk tool set, brakelines, rotors, calipers, dif, ETC. just make sure it rolls and then junk the chassis.
