Here is the car. (http://www.iconicautoexchange.com/2008_BMW_3%20Series_Concord_NC_258059617.veh) I did some quick research last night and have found there are a few repairs at this mileage. Valve cover gasket, high pressure fuel pump, etc. Anyone out there with this kind of mileage? Additionally, I'm trading in a 6MT Volvo S60R for this car with about 25k less miles. I love the Volvo, but the 6MT is killing me at my current age. I consider myself very familiar with car mechanics, and have a great mechanic for the things I can't do myself. I also have deep enough pockets to where dropping $2-3k on maintenance isn't much of an issue.

What year is it? Earlier models seem to have more issues, but most parts have been updated to the point that if they have already been replaced then they shouldn't be an issue again (injectors, HPFP, etc.). If you can afford $2K-$3K a year for maintenance then there shouldn't be any issue. Especially, if you can do some work yourself, and have a good mechanic (rather than the dealer).

Pros - Aftermarket front bumper lip, Aftermarket rear M-sport bumper, Aftermarket trunk spoiler, Aftermarket Aventgarde 510 wheels, DCI, Looks fully loaded, maybe additional aftermarket bolt-on parts not mentioned
Cons - Price seems a little bit high, can guarantee that this has been tuned, missing cowl and covers, unknown maintenance

The thing that would scare me about this car is you know it has been tuned, and since you don't know the previous owner you have no idea if it was properly maintained. Yeah, there are a lot of aftermarket parts on this car that you get, but tough to see if they are quality. I would search my local BMW community and see if there are any individual sales in the area, that way you know the maintenance history and exactly what has been done to it already, and the issues that exist. But that's just my opinion.
