resetting inspection light light

Owned my car 10 days and 4 days ago the orange "inspection" light came on. I reset it, key on, car off with a paper clip in the proper holes. I waited till all the green lights came on and the inspection light went off. Now last night the orange light came on again and again I reset it. Coming back on so soon, could that mean weak batteries on the circuit board?

Yes sir. I've had the lights on my 85 635csi for a long time now. Replacing the batteries on the board has been a bucket list project, but they just don't seem to bother me anymore.
