After getting a broken Touring and a nice, but boring 530i sedan, I've finally found the car that ticks all the boxes for me. I'll be picking up this '95 540i tomorrow. 6-speed, black on black, 144k miles.
(Yes, this means the 530i is for sale)

New Koni sport strutsVogtland springs

Electric fan conversion with new Mishimoto radiator
404 DME with DUDMD 91 chip (stock currently installed)

Funny, this car is already on vogtlands and koni adjustables. Also has upgraded upper and lower control arms, and poly subframe bushings. I'll probably return my control arm kit, sell the shocks/springs, and still keep/install my Remus and RGP wheels. This car has a Dinan exhaust, its nice but I'm not 100% in love with it.

I may buy your shocks. I always wanted koni shocks... seems like once you install your parts the car will be stout without spending millions more on mods.
But them theres maintainance
I spy some nice tires too

Painted.
Any opinions on leaving the Dinan exhaust vs installing a new Remus?

Hey E38740, do you still want my Koni's? I still have them, brand new.
Here's a photo with my newly refinished RGPs.

isn't a Dinan exhaust basically a stock muffler, cut open to remove the upper tubes and some baffles, then welded back together?

Yes. They do sound fantastic though.

Yeah, I'm really torn now. I love the way this thing sounds but I have a brand new Remus for E34 in my garage just waiting to go on. Current setup is welded though, so not a quick bolt on/off to see how the Remus compares.

I have never heard a Remus system I didn't like. Had one on my previous car a loved it. Tough choice. First world problems.

Tough finding sound clips that don't sound terrible for both.
