I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this...

Had a spring shear off.
Mechanic is telling me that BMW wants $337 each for original replacements, making it $940 + tax with installation.:eyecrazy
I found some on Pelican Parts made by SUPLEX for $95, but the shop says that they don't trust aftermarket parts.

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperCat/BE36/BMW_BE36_SUSSHK_pg7.htm#item18
Part Number: 06047-M636

Should I/they trust the aftermarket parts? Would it be better to use used originals? Can anyone here beat $337 with parts they have or recommend a reliable aftermarket spring?

Thanks!

Guy said that BMW quoted him $347 each, but found out this morning that there was a mistake and it's actually $347 for the *pair*. This seems much more reasonable to me, and I'm happy to pay that for real OEM parts. Thanks again everyone!
