Can anyone help me determine a price?!

So, I'm a total newbie to bmw's! I've spent the last two years enjoying my V70XC, but decided I want something new!

The other day driving past a friends after work, I noticed a bmw (I guess it is an "e23 735i '85) and I like it.

Scratch that, love it! It looks beautiful!

bad paint, and power steering problems which somehow involves the brakes? New to these cars, and trying to piece together a price! Once I'm on a computer I will find out how to post a photo of it!

Also wondering if there is a Facebook group that is a branch of this page?

I look at kbb.com to get an idea. Then maybe Autotrader.

I used to look at CL as well, but it seems people are listing things at 3x their price in anticipation of someone offering 10%.

KBB doesn't give values on cars of this age.

I'd look at what comparable models are selling for. I wouldn't pay a lot for anything that old...
