Hey everyone im trying to wire an ms3x box from diyautotune (with their harnesses) and im wondering which wire to run to the ms3x harness to get a tach signal. I know the gauge used to get signal from pin 6 (black) on the motronic 55 pin connector, and iv read that i should run it into the tacho (ms pin 26) but it says something about jumpering js10. Do i need to open my box up and solder a jumper from pin 26 to some location inside the board and then activate it in tunerstudio? Im very confused!! Also if anyone knows the exact settings for using the 3 wire pwm icv (and which wires to utilize on the ms3x harness (iv read to use the "idle" wire and the "vvt" wire and then go into tunerstudio and tell it im using vvt and idle with a 3 wire pwm icv. Please help!!

With a prebuilt ms3x from diyautotune, you shouldn't have to solder anything. Just connect the tacho pin to whatever pin makes it to the gauge.

for the pwm idle, you have it right. You
can use basically any pin that's in the drop down, assuming you don't need that pin for something else. (I needed vvt for vanos, but you are m20 so ur good)

sounds like you have it all right so far

Thanks man! Other question.. There are two green wires comming from the same pin on the c101, one is a large gauge and goes to the coil wiring, the other looks like it went to the ecu as key "run" power, i read that to trip the main relay (to turn the ms on) i need to run switched power to the thin red wire that runs from pin 30 to 85 on the main relay. Is this green wire suitable to switch the ms on?? That I don't know, but any 12v source that comes on with th key will work. The relay it's self is going to take very little power from whatever circuit you choose to do it with.

With my m20, I had a diypnp and my m52 is obviously different
