I have a Silver 1991 BMW 850i 6speed manual for sale. This was my fathers car, which I have had in my possession for 2 years. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to drive this car much in the summer (total of 400km driven in the past 2 years), and its taking up needed room in the garage in the winter. (The car has been garage stored since it was bought new).
The car was bought new from BMW Calgary in 1991, and other than regular service, I don't know what else has been done to the car. When the car arrived at my place, the batteries were replaced, throttle bodies were rebuilt (sticking) all fluids swapped, intake and exhaust gaskets were replaced, belts replaced, alternator replaced by a BMW mechanic. The mechanic did mention a couple things that needed to be looked at.
1. Rear bushings need to be replaced (trouble sourcing the part)
2. There is a small power steering leak (needs to have the hoses replaced).
3. There is brake light error that shows up. I'm not sure why, the brake lights work just fine.
4. The tires are worn out.
It currently has approximately 114xxx miles on it. (I don't know why the odometer is in miles).
The interior is showing some signs of wear, but nothing that I wouldn't expect from a car that is 24 years old.
The exterior is still in great shape. There are a couple small paint chips, but so rust. There is a small dent in the passenger head light cover (hit a bird on the highway).
The car is silver, with black leather interior. It has a 6 cd changer (trunk) and a built in cell phone (no idea if it works... I'm guessing no).
This car was my dads pride and joy, but I just don't have the room to give this car the home it deserves.
