I might, I am the third owner, just completed a complete suspension and brake upgrade / overhaul on a red 85 635CSi with manual and black recaros, time warp car with 114k. I had planned to build a turbo and would do that for a new owner to their desired power level. I am at the point were I should either sell or dive in headlong. I do love this car and it is absolutely a top retail value vehicle. Think 15ish to make me let it go but it presents as nicely as the couple of 30k offerings being discussed on the site elsewhere. PM if you might be interested and I can get you pics and details.

Seems I don't have permission to post photo directly yet but I will attach a link. FYI these are not a great set of "for sale" pics as I had no plan to list the car just pics I have taken along the way while doing work.

That asking price sounds nuts-- I demand photos. Especially since I live in Denver and formerly inhabited Co Springs...

I don't think the asking price is nuts for a very nice Euro. :dunno

That list, plus a half-decent interior, and no body rust equals right around 15k in CA. I realize we probably pay a little more for cars, in general; but it seems to be in "all-you-can-ask-for" shape for a non-M.

He didn't have any pix posted when I posted that. I don't really track the pricing on US 635's, and don't want to get in the middle of a transaction.
That is a nice-looking Six though.

Car looks nice Tom (BTW I am a Tom, too!).
This car seems nice for condition, work done, especially if rust free. I do have to sale that $15k and up in approaching M territory and some nice euro's can be had for less than that.
I know people have been listing for crazy numbers in the last year or two ever since the $57K '88 M6 (which I actually knew the previous owner), but I haven't gotten a gauge on actual sale numbers.
Either way Tom, would love to see it at Drive 4 Corners (http://drive4corners.com) if that might be up your alley and you still have the car this summer!

There is no doubt that I have it at the very tippy top of the pricing (ignoring some of those 25k cars) but I'm not really actively selling it just through it out there if someone wants it, it's a beautiful car. While I like M cars (and worked for BMW in the late 80's, they don't make anywhere near the power to entertain me. An NA S38 engine at our altitude barely makes 200lbft My PLAN is to complete a TCD turbo, MSII, E85 multi fuel, Ireland cam with a 400hp target at our altitude with substantial boost by 3k. Turbo modeling has been quite challenging for these targets but it appears they can be met. More than happy to listen to experience as I know enough to know I don't know it all.
I looked at your 4 corners event and have put it on the calendar. Love that area and will try to make it. The car will probably be done by then or NA still with piles of parts ready to go. NA if past history is an indicator....these things always have a million little time consuming details to get right. Speaking of which, anybody know where I can get an M30B35 front balancer with the missing tooth wheel pattern?

There's just something "off" about that car, at least to my eyes. Maybe it's the stupid improper badging, or the poorly-masked repaint job, red cam cover, etc. Can't put my finger on it, but 73k miles might not be accurate, too. I don't know - but I'd look at this one cautiously.

Interesting combination of bits and pieces on that one. Why the '88/89 "world" bumpers?

I've got a 100,000mi 86. Great interior, rust free from California, dash intact. Big brake upgrade. I love the car, I'm just too tall for it. $10,000

Gunz635,
Where R the euro bumpers?
When i got the car it was shipped to the U.S by previous owner and he had put the american bumpers on.

Cause the previous owner had shipped it the U.S and had unfortunately removed the euro bumpers. so did not like the 86 style bumper cover and spoiler. found an 89 parts car and added it to mine.

I might as I am looking for an 03 M5 under 25/30k miles or a pristine low mile one owner 850csi. My 88 M6 just turned 60k miles yesterday. I have had it 22 years and it won Sharkfest a few years ago. I spent 8k and 4 years on the rotors, calipers, coil overs, sway bars, wheels on and on and on! That was just the suspension. All custom fabricated most parts direct from Germany as our best friend lives in Esslingen out side Stuttgart. Mild internal N/A tuning of the motor done by Carlos at Blue & White Autohouse in Coral Gables FL. Dyno at 330hp. It is pristine. Will be at Sharkfest later this week.
