Gino e39

Hello fellow bimmer members. Finally bit the bullet on a car. Been a long 4 months since my e39 was totaled by a careless driver. I have been driving a 2001 Toyota camry to get me by while I have been looking for a car, and let me tell you my back is thankful it doesn't have to endure those terrible seats any longer.
I must have test drove 40 different cars before finding one that satisfied me. I was originally looking for a 2006 330xi e90 body, or a 328xi that fancied me. Coming from my e39 I just wasn't crazy about the interior space of the 3 series. Long story short after driving a couple e60's I realized I needed to get myself back in a 5er...
Ending up finding a good deal locally. I wasn't crazy about the color but it has been growing on me since I bought it.
2004 530i (my e39 was a 530i and my familiarity with the m54b30 engine gave me some peace of mind since I DIY some things)
1 owner 103,00 miles, had my indy whos always worked on my e39 do a PPI and he said the car was in great condition other than VCG, OFHG, and hood struts (which i was already aware of), and he also discovered slight leak from the oil pan gasket and a possible slight leak from the thermo.
Im experienced with the m54b30 from my e39 so I can do the VCG, OFHG, and hood struts myself, but I had his estimate that I was able to use in negations, so I didnt let the dealer know that...
Ended up getting the car for $8700 before taxes, which I think was a steal even with the couple problems.. I figure $150 for OFHG, VCG set, and two hood struts, +$900 for my indy to do pan gasket and thermo and im in the car $9700. Not bad for a one owner with 100k miles. Has premium and cold weather, no sport package is slightly disapointing but its my commuter and is unbelievably comfortable to drive so I have no complaints.

Heres my poor old e39, lady tried to cross two lanes of oncoming traffic and hit me head on, doesnt look THAT bad, but at the angle she hit me it bent the driver side engine bay frame back to the strut and was totaled. With 240,000 miles on the e39 it wasnt too devastating and no one was hurt. Hoping I can get the same type of mileage out of this m54b30.

Will be tackling VCG in the next few weeks.
One question, when navigating throught Idrive, the communications tells me to contact dealer about connecting phone. Is it possible to purchase Bluetooth adapter for the 6.5" non nav Idrive system? I think I have the M-ask CD player, although im able to play burned CD's unlike others that ive read about.
Thanks.
