im designing my e36 aem infinity standalone setup. An area of argument on flex fuel sensors is where to mount them.

onee side of the argument is that it goes on the return line because it is a flow restriction. another point to the return side is that the alcohol content it measure is after the injectors so its insurance that the injectors have that content that is measured.

the other side of the argument is that as the injectors remove fuel from the rail and thus the return line, the decrease in flow through the ffs causes the sensor to measure 10 or 15% lower alcohol content during heavy load. so engine management filters the changes to kind of hold the last value for these high load changes.

anyone have any experience?

a solution to the flow restriction on the fuel rail feed line is basicly a t off the main line.

by the way. these sensors are normally on returnless fuel systems in the feed line.
