very strange indeed

Ok, so I have had my car for 12 years. I have done a full repaint, 10 years ago. numerous fixes, replace obc like 8 year ago. I have an 85 euro automatic. All normal stuff, right. This morning l take my wife to the airport early, still dark, gonna take the truck. I look at my car and the little red light on my drivers door, the factory alarm, is shining brightly. This has never shown brightly. WTF now I am scared to touch my car for fear the alarm will go off, or worse the whole car will be disabled. What would you do?

opened it nothing happened, light stayed on.

opened the door, nothing happens. car starts right up. now i have a bright red light on the side of my door... talk about custom.... I guess I will have to open the door skin and disable the little red light. Its funny, I have what I call major projects in the works, ac overhaul, big brake upgrade and these little things keep popping up...the joys of a 30 year old...
