Tried searching, not finding anyone else with a similar issue. Sorry in advance if I MAY have missed it.
So I had a constant reading of -40. Considering it never has been -40 in Santa Barbara, I replaced the sensor. Took the wagon for a very loing drive, few days ago, and the temp climbed up. Great, bad sensor so I thought
However, every single time I start the car, the temperature always reads at different numbers. Meaning, I'll shut off the car, with it saying it is 65 degrees (F) outside, and turn it back on, and it goes to 0 or 38 or 40 or 23 or whatever, always starts low. It does not however seem to go into the negatives, and always climbs back up within 10 minutes or so (and quickly I may add).
Anyone have any insight? I'm a bit confused by this one.
