View Full Version : Finally fixed my vapor seal tonight and stopped my leak ... and (like a boss)

managed to make the rear driver door not want to open any more. Suspect I pushed the door card down onto the lock indicator and it's stronger than I suspected.

More likely, you simply didn't re-install the bowden cable into the door lever just right. The lever-end of the cable sheath has to fit inside the lever assembly to remove slack and ensure the cable does its job.

So with the door stuck shut, just loosen and check out the door handle?

If what pleidas is saying is correct, you still should be able to open the door from the outside.

Is the door panel on? If panel is on, then you have to take panel off to get door unlocked, remove back seat, move the front seat as forward as you can, the you can take the panel off.

Yeah, that's true, sorry.

eohagan, can you see the lock indicator through the hole it's meant to slip through in the door panel, or is it completely out of sight and jammed down?

Haven't looked in the daylight but last night it seemed definitely jammed down :(
